David’s Heart Lyrics
From a shepherd boy to a king on high,
David faced the giant with a fire in his eye.
With a sling and faith, he stood tall and true,
Livin’ for the Lord in all he’d do.
Chorus
Oh, who can dwell where God’s glory shines?
A heart like David’s, walkin’ the righteous line!
Never shaken, standin’ firm in grace,
Livin’ for the Lord, seekin’ His face!
He spoke no lies, kept his heart sincere,
Loved his neighbor close, wiped away their tears.
Even when he stumbled, he’d rise and pray,
Trustin’ in the Lord to guide his way.
Chorus
Oh, who can dwell where God’s glory shines?
A heart like David’s, walkin’ the righteous line!
Never shaken, standin’ firm in grace,
Livin’ for the Lord, seekin’ His face!
He honored the faithful, turned from evil’s call,
Kept his word through pain, never let it fall.
Gave to those in need, with a heart so free,
Lived for justice, like the Lord’s decree.
Chorus
Oh, who can dwell where God’s glory shines?
A heart like David’s, walkin’ the righteous line!
Never shaken, standin’ firm in grace,
Livin’ for the Lord, seekin’ His face!
From the fields to the throne, through the battles he’d roam,
David’s heart kept callin’ God his home!
With a song and a prayer, he’d lift up his cares,
Forever in God’s love, unshakeable there!
Chorus
Oh, who can dwell where God’s glory shines?
A heart like David’s, walkin’ the righteous line!
Never shaken, standin’ firm in grace,
Livin’ for the Lord, seekin’ His face!
Oh, David’s heart, still singin’ today,
Livin’ for the Savior, walkin’ His way!
Never shaken, rooted deep in love,
Blessed to dwell with God in the heavens above!
Psalm 15
A psalm of David.
1 Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
2 The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
3 whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
4 who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
5 who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.
