Build on the Rock

Chasin’ the ladder, driving fancy rides,
Keepin’ up appearances, filled with empty pride.
Without the Lord’s hand, it’s all in vain,
Building on sand, through the storm and rain.

Chorus
Oh, build your home on the solid Rock,
With a godly spouse, let your hearts unlock!
Children are gifts, arrows in Your hand,
Blessings from heaven, part of His plan!

Seek a faithful partner, hand in hand you stand,
Create a sanctuary, in Your promised land.
No more worldly chase, no fleeting fame,
In Your love we’ll thrive, calling on Your name.

Chorus
Oh, build your home on the solid Rock,
With a godly spouse, let your hearts unlock!
Children are gifts, arrows in Your hand,
Blessings from heaven, part of His plan!

Guard our children from the shadows that creep,
Twisted tales and lies that steal our sleep.
Worldly whispers try to lead children astray,
But in Your truth, we’ll light their way.

Chorus
Oh, build your home on the solid Rock,
With a godly spouse, let your hearts unlock!
Children are gifts, arrows in Your hand,
Blessings from heaven, part of His plan!

Lord, watch over us, in this stormy fight,
Protect our families through the darkest night!
Your wisdom guides, Your strength we claim,
In godly homes, we praise Your name!

Chorus
Oh, build your home on the solid Rock,
With a godly spouse, let your hearts unlock!
Children are gifts, arrows in Your hand,
Blessings from heaven, part of His plan!

Arrows fly true, in the Father’s care,
Godly homes stand, beyond compare!
Oh, celebrate the joy, the gift so grand,
Building with the Lord, hand in hand!

Psalm 127

A song of ascents. Of Solomon.

Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.

2 In vain you rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to[a] those he loves.

Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.

4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.

5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.
